The Starter House — Junior Golf Club

A proper start to a lifelong game.

Thoughtful instruction. Good company. A lifelong love of golf. Welcome to a new kind of junior golf club.

  • Ages 5–14
  • One 75-minute class each week
  • No more than four students per bay

The Club

More than a game. A place to begin.

A junior golf glove, a pencilled scorecard, a wedge and two golf balls on an oak bench

Golf asks a great deal of a young person — patience after a poor shot, honesty in keeping score, courtesy toward a playing partner, and the quiet confidence to stand over the ball and commit.

Those lessons travel well beyond the course. At The Starter House, children learn the game as it ought to be learned: in small groups, from coaches who know their names, in a setting that treats them as members rather than customers.

They arrive curious. They leave with sound fundamentals, good habits, and friends who share them — and with a game they can carry for the rest of their lives.

Where good habits begin.

The Starter House Experience

The House, in four parts.

Modern tools, traditional standards. Every part of the House is designed so that each hour of practice is well spent.

I.

The Simulators

Four premium simulator bays offer honest, immediate feedback on every swing — so practice becomes understanding, and understanding becomes progress.

II.

The Putting Green

A dedicated green for touch, precision and feel. Here students learn to read a putt, control their pace and enjoy the part of the game that wins matches.

III.

The Coaching

Small groups and intentional feedback. Coaches know each student’s game, set clear goals and record progress week by week.

IV.

Beyond the House

A pathway toward the course itself — etiquette, pace of play and on-course skills, with outdoor experiences at partner courses to be announced as they are confirmed.

Our Approach

Practice with purpose. Play for life.

Every student follows a clear pathway, from first grip to first round. Golfers move up when their coach sees the skills in place — not when the calendar turns.

We welcome golfers aged 5 to 14, taught in three separate age groups: 5–7, 8–10 and 11–14. Within each age group, the level is set by skill rather than age, so a strong golfer can move up a stage.

Every great golfer starts somewhere.
